Aloka SSD 500 to be rolled out in the first phase from Trivitron’s manufacturing facility in Chennai

Aloka Trivitron Medical Technologies Pvt Ltd announced the commencement of the production of Aloka SSD 500, portable Black and White ultrasound scanner. The company is a medical equipment manufacturing company formed under the joint venture between Aloka Japan and Trivitron Healthcare. This is the first production from the manufacturing facility of the company located at Poonamallee, Chennai, which aims to roll out world class medical equipments at most effective costs to national and international customers.

Aloka SSD 500 is a multi-purpose diagnostic ultrasound system providing excellent image quality with comprehensive function in a truly portable body. Aloka SSD 500 is a world premier portable model now being produced in India with international quality standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G.S.K. Velu, Managing Director, Trivitron said, “We are proud to commence the first production of Portable Black and White ultrasound scanner Aloka SSD 500 from our manufacturing facility at Chennai. The aim of the Aloka, Trivitron JV is to offer products of high quality suited to developing countries needs on a most cost effective basis. Apart from meeting the needs of the Indian Market, the products manufactured by the JV will be exported to several developing/developed countries across the world.”

The manufacturing facility at Chennai will adhere to all international standards such as ISO 9000-2001, ISO 13485 for medical product manufacturing and will also be compliant with requirements for CE, US FDA and Japan MITI certifications.

An array of indigenous products from electronic equipment to consumables will be introduced under PRIDE SERIES.
